MK Tibi uses Palestinian embassy to set up Bucharest trip, angering Israel

Israeli Arab lawmaker Ahmad Tibi raised the hackles of diplomatic officials in Jerusalem on Thursday after it became apparent that he had used the services of the Palestinian embassy in Bucharest in order to make arrangements for a visit to the Romanian capital, Israel Radio reported.
Foreign Ministry officials have been updated in recent days by their counterparts in Romania regarding Tibi’s anticipated trip.
Diplomatic officials in Jerusalem told Israel Radio that Tibi’s reliance on Palestinian government personnel is “further proof that there are Arab lawmakers in the Knesset who have adopted a policy of antagonizing the State of Israel.”
Tibi told Israel Radio that this wasn’t the first time that he had arranged an official visit abroad in this manner and that he had received all the necessary authorization from the Knesset ethics panel.
