'Mobster' Domrani jailed for 10 months; judge: He got off easy

Southern mobster Domrani

Alleged southern mob boss Shalom Domrani was sentenced to 10 months in prison Wednesday for an attack on notorious hitman Avner Harari. Domrani attacked notorious hitman Avner Harari at a Tel Aviv car service center in February. A fistfight ensued and Domrani's men purportedly attempted to kidnap Harari. Police issued a warrant for Domrani's arrest and he was successfully captured earlier his month. According to a plea bargain, Domrani admitted to hitting Harari but not to the attempted kidnapping. Judge Zvi Gurfinkel approved the plea bargain with a heavy heart. "It is the easiest settlement imaginable," he said. Although Gurfinkel wasn't satisfied with the verdict, police breathed a sigh of relief, reported Israel Radio.
