More than 10,000 demonstrators were reported to be present at the main social justice rally in Haifa on Saturday.
The Haifa protest was just one of several major demonstrations being held in the periphery Saturday evening.
Other cities planning to hold major rallies included Beersheba, Ashkelon, Dimona and Afula.
