Moshe Ivgy announces hiatus from acting following sexual harassment allegations

Israeli actor Moshe Ivgy announced on Thursday that he was taking a hiatus from acting following allegations of sexual harassment.
“In light of the wave of reports which have shaken my life and causing great pain to my family, I decided to take a break [from acting]. I repeat that I did not hurt any person, man or woman. As long as I am required to address these issues I will do so fully but in authorized locations,” he said in a statement.
On Sunday, police announced they were launching an investigation into sexual harassment allegations against the actor, after reports surfaced that six women who formerly worked with Ivgy said that he sexually harassed them.
Orit Sulitzeanu, director of The Association for Rape Crisis Centers in Israel welcomed the decision but said it did not absolve Haifa Theater, where Ivgy was employed, from conducting an internal investigation into the matter.
