Muslim Brotherhood names Mahmoud Ezzat interim leader after Badie arrest

Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has named Mahmoud Ezzat interim leader following the arrest Monday of Mohamed Badie, AFP reported.
"Mahmoud Ezzat, deputy leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, will assume the role of supreme guide of the group on a temporary basis after the security forces of the bloody military coup arrested supreme guide Mohamed Badie," the group said on its Freedom and Justice Party website.
Badie was charged in July with inciting the murder of protesters. Together with his two deputies, he is due to stand trial on Aug. 25.
