National Service organizations are threatening to launch a strike in education and welfare institutions beginning next week in protest of a budget shortage.
If the strike goes ahead, more than 3,000 youngsters providing services to schools, community centers and youth centers in the periphery will be absent.
Organizations are demanding NIS 45 million shekels they say is required to run various projects for the coming year.
The government has put responsibility for the National Service funding on the shoulders of the Bayit Hayehudi party, which, for its part, says that the allocation of funds is under the government's authority.
