Nazareth court indicts 2 residents for backing, planning to join ISIS

Two Nazareth residents were indicted Thursday in the city's district court for, among offenses, supporting and planning to join the terrorist organization Islamic State.
Nazareth resident Mahmoud Abdel Fattah, 24, was indicted for contacting a foreign agent and backing the extremist group know as ISIS. According to the indictment, Fattah had since 2014 until his arrest in 2016 used the Internet to follow sites related to the terrorist organization and communicate with fellow ISIS supporters about possibly leaving the country to join the group in Syria.
In addition, Nazareth resident Ashraf Arbiai, 35, was indicted for committing offenses with weapons and supporting the terrorist organization. The indictment noted that he had dispensed pro-ISIS symbols and photographs to others, and planned to join the organization in Syria.
