Nepali Ambassador to Israel makes first visit to Gush Etzion

The Ambassador of Nepal in Israel Dr. Anjan Shakya arrived for the first time on Wednesday for an extensive tour of Gush Etzion.
Shakya began her tour with workshop in the community of Gevaot, where she learned about the place and its unique model. She then visited the council building and met with the head of the council, Shlomo Ne'eman, from whom she heard about Gush Etzion and its heritage.
Shakya explained that she decided to visit in order to learn about the Gush and bring back what she finds out to Nepal.
Ne'eman spoke about the blessing that the tribe of Yehuda had - "vines and fine wines" - and gave the ambassador wine made in the area. The ambassador invited Ne'eman to visit Nepal and wished him a happy holiday.
In reaction to the visit, Ne’eman said, “In addition to the special landscape of the Gush, we have a heritage here infused with education and human values. The Gevaot community amplifies those traits. It’s an honor to be part of that project. Gush Etzion is also the best place to learn what an Israeli home represents.”
