Netanyahu, Bennett reach agreement on Nation-State Bill's Jewish settlement clause

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Education Minister Naftali Bennett reached a final agreement Sunday regarding the clause in the nation-state bill that pertains to Jewish settlement.
The amended version of the clause that stood at the center of the dispute between the two, proposed by the minister of education, will be worded as follows: "The state views the development of Jewish settlements as a national value, and will act to encourage and promote their establishment and consolidation."
Both the Bayit Yehudi and the Likud parties agreed on the wording, as well as the relevant legal bodies.
The amended version will be submitted for approval by the Nation-State Law Committee on Monday, prior to a vote in the Knesset plenum.
