Netanyahu eulogizes Ben-Eliezer: I loved Fuad, he was a patriot

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu eulogized former defense minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer at his funeral in Holon on Tuesday, describing him as a true Israeli patriot.
Netanyahu said that Ben-Eliezer had displayed throughout his life and career "true concern for the state's future, security and character.
"I loved Fuad," Netanyahu said, referring to Ben-Eliezer by his nickname.
Netanyahu recalled taking Ben-Eliezer with him to Sharm al-Sheikh to meet with former Egyptian Presdient Hosni Mubarak.
"He helped greatly develop these relations," Netanyahu stated, adding that Ben-Eliezer could have continued to help Israel improve relations with Egypt and all of its Arab neighbors.
"He saw the story of his life as the story of the state of Israel," the prime minister said.
