Netanyahu in Netherlands: Israel protects Europe from Mideast terrorism

Israel protects not only itself, but Europe from terrorism emanating from the Middle East, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in the Netherlands on Wednesday.

Speaking to the Dutch parliament, he charged that Israel is the "most stabilizing factor in the Middle East."

In a meeting with the Dutch parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, the premier reiterated that the Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state is the main obstacle to the Middle East conflict, and not the proliferation of West Bank settlements.
