Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Monday that Israel was closely monitoring the situation on the Syrian border.Speaking ahead of a meeting with a visiting US congressional delegation, Netanyahu said, "We’re closely following the events on the Golan Heights where al-Nusra terrorists have kidnapped UN peacekeepers."He added: "What we see is that al-Nusra, Hamas, Hezbollah – backed by Iran, al-Qaida and these other terrorists groups are basically defying all international norms, breaking them whether in Lebanon, in Syria or in Gaza."
