Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Trump administration senior adviser Jared Kushner in Jerusalem on Wednesday afternoon.
Kushner, who is also US President Donald Trump's son-in-law, is in Israel on a short visit to help assist in Mideast peace talk negotiations. He is also accompanied by Trump's lead international negotiator, Jason Greenblatt.
During their meeting, Netanyahu commented that "this is an opportunity to pursue our common goals of security, prosperity and peace," according to a tweet posted by a spokesperson for the prime minister.
"I look forward to working with you to achieve these common goals. Please send our warmest regards to (President Trump)," he added.
