Netanyahu, Lapid reach agreement on 2015 state budget

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yair Lapid have reached agreement on the parameters of the 2015 state budget, which will be submitted for approval by the cabinet following the Rosh Hashanah holiday, the Prime Minister's Office announced on Wednesday.

Netanyahu and Lapid agreed that the defense establishment would receive NIS 6 billion in supplementary funds, with an additional NIS 7-8 billion to be earmarked for covering the costs of Operation Protective Edge. The total defense budget for 2015 is expected to be NIS 57 billion.
