Netanyahu leaves for Washington seeking to bolster US-Israel ties

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Monday that he would seek to further strengthen diplomatic relations between Israel and US. He made the remarks as he set off to Washington for his first official state meeting with US President Donald Trump.
The premier asserted that both he and Trump see "eye-to-eye" on the security threats facing the Middle East, and vowed to speak of the matter along with bolstering the US-Israel alliance during his visit the to United States.
"That's what I intend to do, to lead and to steer the historic alliance for the good of national interest and for the benefit of all of Israel's citizens," he said.
