Netanyahu looking for excuses to avoid peace with Palestinians, Erekat says

The Israeli government’s refusal to accept the French peace proposal is indicative of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s unwillingness to sincerely come to agreement with the Palestinians on a final status deal based on the two-state solution, Palestine Liberation Organization Secretary-General Saeb Erekat told Army Radio on Sunday.
Erekat, the chief Palestinian peace negotiator, also refused to condemn terrorist attacks against Israelis.
“We want to live and to give hope to both nations with the goal of achieving a two-state solution,” Erekat said. “We are being occupied by you, and you must understand this.”
