Netanyahu mulls canceling Berlin trip due to escalating violence

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may cancel his planned trip to Berlin this week if there is a further deterioration in the security situation, a senior aide close to the premier told The Jerusalem Post's Hebrew-language sister publication Ma'ariv.
"Nothing has been decided yet," the official said. "We will make a decision as the trip nears."
The prime minister is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel as well as US Secretary of State John Kerry. The leaders are expected to discuss the latest violence that has engulfed the region in addition to ideas on how to re-start negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.
