Netanyahu on Syrian border incident: We will respond to every effort to attack us

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday related to the incident on the Israeli-Syrian border on the Golan Heights Friday in which the IDF fired on two armed gunmen trying to sabotage the border fence.
Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said, "The IDF thwarted an attempt to infiltrate the border, and hit people trying to get close to the fence," he said. "We will continue to respond to every effort to attack us, and – to the best of our ability and part of our policy of initiating action – we will thwart these attacks before they can take place. That is the essence of our policy, and it works and is showing  results."
Regarding economic developments, Netanyahu noted with satisfaction that Standard & Poor's reaffirmed on Friday Israel's A+ credit rating. He said this was a confirmation of Israel's good economic situation.
