Netanyahu told Trump: settlement announcement corrects historic injustice

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoken with US President Donald Trump to thank him for his country’s recognition that West Bank settlements are not illegal.
“I told him, he had corrected a historic injustice,” wrote Netanyahu on Monday in a tweet about the phone call between the two leaders, who have a  very close relationship.
“Someone should have told the simple truth and President Trump did that,” Netanyahu said.
He likened Trump’s statement with the US President's earlier decisions to recognize Israeli sovereignty on the Golan Heights and to transfer the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
“I told President Trump that we are no in a foreign country. This has been our homeland for over 3,000- years.”
