Netanyahu: Palestinians rioters to blame for Temple Mount disturbances

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday placed the onus on Palestinian rioters for disturbing the status quo on the Temple Mount.
"Israel desires peace with the Palestinians, who unfortunately, continue to spread crude lies about our police on the Temple Mount," he said while taking off on an official visit to the UN General Assembly in New York.
The premier called for an end to Palestinian incitement that he indicated was the cause for recent violence at the Jerusalem holy site.
"In general, it becomes more clear with every passing day that in the Middle East, where radical Islamic elements occupy territory after territory, Israel is an island of progress, an island of stability," stated Netanyahu.
