Netanyahu, Peres mourn death of leading Israeli actress Hanna Maron

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Shimon have expressed their regret over the death of renowned Israeli actress Hanna Maron.

"Hanna Maron was a leading Israeli artists, Jewish theater pioneer and a great actress. She played numerous roles on our stages before the establishment of the state, and even after she was injured in a terror attack in she demonstrated that the show must go on," Netanyahu said.

The premier sent his condolences to the family of Maron, who died on Friday at age 90.

"The State of Israel lost a wonderful woman, a great artists and a very unique figure," said Peres.
