Netanyahu plans to establish ties with Sudan

Following the visit from Chad President Idriss Déby in Jerusalem on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu planned to strengthen ties with Chad's neighboring country, Sudan, Channel 2 reported.
According to the report, given the prospective strengthening of relations between Israel and Brazil, building ties with Chad and possibly Sudan and Nigeria is a necessary step to create a safe and faster air-travel route between Israel and Brazil, which will be reduced by at least four hours. For this purpose, foreign airlines will have to be approved for passage through Sudan's airspace on their way to Israel from South America.
Chad, a Muslim-majority African country with whom Israel has no relations, was another "diplomatic breakthrough" for Israel, Netanyahu said in a statement.
