Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu railed against the High Court's decision to strike down his government's gas deal on the basis that the 10-year price freeze included in the deal represented an unconstitutional move by the government.
"The High Court decision seriously threatens the ability to develop the gas reserves of the State of Israel," said Netanyahu on Sunday evening.
"Israel is seen as having excessive judicial intervention, and difficult to do business in. Certainly no one should be celebrating that the gas remains in the depths of the sea and hundreds of billions will not come to the citizens of Israel."
The government has been given a year to fix the issues that the court has with the plan.
