As the results for the Likud primaries are being released, Gideon Sa'ar, a rival of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, thanked his supporters.
"I would like to thank the Likud members for trusting me," Sa'ar said. "They chose me, and elected me to lead Likud."
While Sa'ar, will likely be elected in the primaries, it is not yet clear, what number he will be in on the Likud list.
"I view the result as my greatest political achievement - even more so than the two times in which I was elected in the primaries in the past," Sa'ar continued.
The general elections will occur on April 9.
