Netanyahus file libel suit against Yediot journalist

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara filed a libel suit in Tel Aviv on Sunday against Yediot Ahronot journalist Yigal Sarna for a Facebook post he recently wrote.

According to the post, Sara threw the prime minister out of the car when the premier's convoy was traveling on Highway 1.

Yossi Cohen, a lawyer for the Netanyahu family, told Army Radio that the decision to file the suit was made because Sarna had “incited against the family” for months and “crossed all red-lines.” He said the journalist will now have to prove in court that things that never happened, and which he only imagined, actually happened.

Cohen said the Netanyahu family will pursue the suit “all the way, so that once and and for all the truth will come out, and people will see that it is impossible to spill the blood of the Netanyahu family, especially of Sarah Netanyahu, without any compunction and without having to pay in the end.”
