New law increases transparency for lobbyists

Legislation requiring lobbyists to register for every Knesset committee meeting they attend passed into law Tuesday evening, with 10 MKs voting in favor and none opposed.
The new law also institutes a six-month cooling-off period between working as a parliamentary aide and as a lobbyist.
In addition, when speaking to MKs, aides or Knesset employees, lobbyists will have to say who their client is.
