New medical center opens in Nesher, first in 10 years

A new medical center opened Wednesday in the northern city of Nesher. Health Ministry officials assured that the center would offer local residents the best in rehabilitation and hospital equipment "under one roof."
Vice Health Minister Ya'akov Leitzman, who participated in the ceremony, said that the center's opening benefits greatly citizens who live in the north, and exemplifies the development of the periphery. According to Letizman, it was the ministry's obligation to open the center in order to help close the gaps between the health standards in the country's populous center and outlying rural and peripheral towns and cities.
