New terrorist electronic explosives may pass airport security, CNN

ISIS and several other terrorist organizations have managed to develop new ways of planting explosives in electronic devices CNN reported Friday.
According to the CNN report, US intelligence and other law enforcement agencies believe that these new developments are able to evade common airport security methods.
US intelligence has suggested that terrorists have managed to retrieve airport security equipment which allows them to test electronic devices and conceal the explosives.
The Department of Homeland Security in a statement told CNN that, "as a matter of policy, we do not publicly discuss specific intelligence information. However, evaluated intelligence indicates that terrorist groups continue to target commercial aviation, to include smuggling explosive devices in electronics."
This information which has been collected during the past few months is believed to have played a role in President Trump's decision to ban travelers from electronic equipment, including laptops, on board flights from eight countries in the Middle East and Africa.
