'Newsflash to CNN, BBC – Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East'

Gila Gamliel, the minister for social equality, told The Jerusalem Post Annual Conference in New York on Monday that the government was working to reduce socioeconomic gaps in the ultra-Orthodox and Arab communities in Israel.
The Likud minister said she was “proud to serve as a minister and daughter of immigrants from Libya and Yemen.”
Gamliel said that she has urged the Arab community in Israel to integrate more women in the workforce.
The minister said that she will work to boost transportation access to industrial zones for Arab citizens as well as promote the formation of “digital cities” to promote greater economic integration.
Gamliel said that Israel's efforts to aid minorities "is not reported in media" and is not known to those "who do not read The Jerusalem Post."
