NGO: Demolitions leave 110 homeless

The Civil Administration on Tuesday morning demolished 22 temporary structures in two herding Palestinian communities in the South Hebron Hills, leaving 110 people were homeless, the NGO B’Tselem said.
The Civil Administration would not comment on the matter.
It’s believed that the Civil Administration intended to demolish some 40 structures built without authorizations in those two communities, Jinba and Halawa, which are located in the 918 IDF firing range, but they stopped the demolitions after an attorney for the two communities obtained an emergency injunction from the High Court of Justice.
Jinba and Halawa are among eight communities of some 1,000 people that had been under threat of eviction so the IDF could use the area for a training ground. The communities have been in a legal battle with the state dating back to 1999.
