NHC says Bonnie could become a tropical storm again

Tropical depression Bonnie could possibly strengthen over the next 24 hours and become a tropical storm again, the US National Hurricane Center said on Thursday.
Bonnie continues to move away from the coast of North Carolina moving northeast of Cape Hatteras with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (55 km/h), the Miami-based weather forecaster added.
The NHC, however, said that a weakening trend is expected to begin by Friday night, and Bonnie is expected to again become a post-tropical low on Saturday.
