Obama pushes for gun control, redoubled efforts against ISIS

President Barak Obama announced in a primetime address to the US that the country cannot turn in on itself, in an appeal to core American values.
"We cannot turn against one another by letting this fight be defined as a war between America and Islam," Obama said.
The President also pushed for gun control, with mass shootings in the US currently occurring at a rate of one per day. Obama called for Congress to pass legislation preventing those on the no-fly list from buying guns, in addition to an assault weapons ban.
