Obama to nominate Marine general as next Joint Chiefs chairman

WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama will nominate the US Marine Corps' top general, Joseph Dunford, to become the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on Tuesday, a White House official said.
In a formal announcement, Obama will also nominate General Paul Selva, currently the commander of the US Transportation Command, as the vice chairman, the official said.
