Omar Sharif denies rumors he converted to Judaism

Internationally renowned actor Omar Sharif has not converted to Judaism, pan-Arab Al Arabiya news channel quoted the Sharif's spokesperson as saying Tuesday.

“I have been hearing these rumors for a while and I have no idea what their source is, but they are not true and he is not thinking of converting at all,” said Inas Bakr.

In March, Omar Sharif Jr., grandson of the two-time Golden Globe winning actor Omar Sharif (senior), admitted to being both gay and Jewish, in an article published in The Advocate.
