Or Yarok: Car accident deaths dropped 25% in 2012

Car accident deaths dropped by some 25 percent in 2012, with fewer than 300 people losing their lives on Israel's roads for the first time in years, road safety advocacy group Or Yarok said Monday.
According to Or Yarok, 382 people died in road accidents in 2011, while the number dropped to 290 in 2012.
Or Yarok Director-General Shmuel Abuav praised Transportation Minster Yisrael Katz (Likud) for investing "massive" amounts of money into road infrastructure improvements.
