'Orange CEO's anti-Israel comments legitimize extremist elements,' Yesh Atid MK says

A centrist lawmaker from the secularist Yesh Atid party on Wednesday criticized Orange CEO Stephane Richard for comments indicating the company’s wish to terminate its business activities in Israel.
“Orange management has lost touch with reality,” MK Yaakov Peri, a former head of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), said. “Orange’s investment with its Israeli affiliate Partner has proven itself from a business standpoint.”
Richard’s remarks “are serious [and they] legitimize extremist elements,” Peri said.
The Yesh Atid parliamentarian went on to criticize the Netanyahu government “for strengthening those acting against it.”
“It is incumbent on the government to initiate a regional diplomatic initiative which includes the Arab states and to work toward a two-state solution,” he said.
