PA cracks down on Hamas across West Bank

Security forces in the Palestinian Authority have scaled up efforts to restrain Hamas members in the West Bank over the past ten days.

According to Palestinian media reports, over 70 Hamas supporters and members in the PA-controlled West Bank have been arrested or called for questioning over the past week and a half.

Among those arrested are students, released prisoners and sons of top Hamas officials.

The PA is also cracking down on victory rallies staged across the Palestinian territory by Hamas. According to reports, the PA was also after Hamas supporters who use social media as platforms to rally behind the terrorist group.
