Palestinian FM: Hebron killing of IDF soldier no reason to give up on peace talks

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Maliki told Palestinian news agency Ma'an the killing of Givati soldier Gavriel Kobi in Hebron on Sunday was "not a reason to abandon the peace process."
He added that a meeting between Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York this week would be premature.
He did not, however, rule out a possible meeting between Abbas and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
