PA official: Abbas looks forward to developing relations with Iran

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was interested in developing more open relations between the Palestinian an Iran, Palestinian media cited PA Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki as saying Monday.
Al-Maliki expressed Abbas' hope to new Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri during a meeting in Tehran to congratulate newly sworn-in Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on his inauguration. 
During the meeting, al-Maliki reportedly conferred to the Iranian official complaints against ongoing Israeli activities, particularly relating to Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque.
