Palestinian attacker from thwarted stabbing identified as 15-year-old from Beit Furik

The Palestinian who attempted to stab soldiers near the Hawara checkpoint south of Nablus in the West Bank on Thursday was revealed to be Abdallah Hussein, a 15-year-old resident of Beit Furik, a village near Nablus.
According to an initial investigation of the event, soldiers saw a suspicious Palestinian while carrying out security work on the road near Hawara and approached to question him.
The suspect then pulled out a knife, running toward the soldiers, and soldiers responded with gunfire, killing the Palestinian.
No soldiers were injured in the incident.
