IDF troops killed on Friday a Palestinian man during a violent demonstration in the West Bank, Palestinian medics and witnesses said.
Hospital staff said that Yussef Aqil Srour died from a chest wound that appeared to have been caused by live fire. Witnesses said that troops fired tear gas, rubber bullets and possibly live rounds at rock-throwing demonstrators in the village of Naalin.
Palestinian and foreign activists opposed to the construction of Israel's security barrier hold weekly protests there. The barrier cuts across village land.
An army spokesman was looking into the report.
