Palestinians riot in Bethlehem, IDF opens fire, kills one

An IDF unit operating in Bethlehem encountered heavy rioting, before opening fire and killing a 19-year-old Palestinian on Tuesday.

An army spokeswoman said the unit came under attack, with rioters hurling concrete block and firebomb at soldiers. The soldiers attempted to disperse the rioters, before opening fire, striking one man who was evacuated to hospital.

Palestinian sources later said the man died of his injuries.
