Peace Now: 70% jump in construction in West Bank settlements

Peace Now, the anti-settlement organization, released a report on Thursday which claims that there has been a 70-percent increase in construction of Jewish homes across the Green Line in the first half of this calendar year.
According to Israel Radio, Peace Now claims that half of the new construction projects were started in isolated settlements.
Since the signing of the Oslo Accords, the Israeli population in Judea and Samaria has tripled, with a majority of settlers residing in the so-called settlement blocs, according to Peace Now.
