Peres sends condolence letter to Mubarak on death of grandson

Presdient Shimon Peres on Thursday wrote a letter to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, sending his condolences on the death of the latter's 12-year-old grandson.
"On behalf of the people of Israel and myself, I convey my most profound and sincere condolences to you, your family, and the people of Egypt on this terrible tragedy," he wrote.
"As a grandfather myself, I can identify with the profound pain inflicted by the death of a beloved grandchild, and I personally share your mourning," the letter went on.
