Peres: Struggle for channel 10 is a struggle for democracy

President Shimon Peres said Wednesday that he sees the struggle for the future of Channel 10 as a struggle for the democratic character of Israel.During a meeting with the heads of Channel 10, which is in danger of closing, the president said: "Democracy is expensive, but the closure of the channel will be social bankruptcy...it's not just the livelihood of 3,000 people that it will hurt, it will weaken the entire media."Israel has not notified the US of its plan to attack Iran
