Peru says expelling North Korean ambassador over nuclear program

LIMA - Peru is expelling North Korea's ambassador to protest the country's "repeated and flagrant" violations of United Nations Security Council resolutions and its refusal to end its nuclear program, Peru's foreign ministry said ON Monday.
The ambassador, Kim Hak-Chol, has five days to leave Peru, the ministry added in a statement. The announcement follows a similar move by Mexico last week and a public call by US Vice President Mike Pence last month for Latin American nations to isolate North Korea.
