Pfizer recalls smoking cessation drug

Pfizer announced on Friday that they were recalling all the champix drugs that are used to get over smoking because they contain chemicals that cause cancer, Ynet reported.

The chemicals were discovered in June, and the Health Ministry banned sales of the drug until further notice.

People who have taken the drug are required to take it back to the pharmacy and consult their doctors to find an alternate way to stop smoking.
