PFLP says ceasefire with Israel is a 'dangerous thing'

A senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Jamil Mazhar, said Sunday that a ceasefire with Israel at the present time was a mistake because of Israel's "persistent attempts at murder and destruction of the Palestinian people," Palestinian news source Ma'an reported Sunday.

According to the report, Mazhar told Ma'an by telephone that any truce should be made together with all factions of the Palestinian people, and that a current truce with Israel is a "dangerous thing."

Mazhar added that "unfortunately there is no consultation between factions concerning the truce. There is a single hand working on this matter and that is Hamas."
