Piron pledges to adjust Kippur-Sukkot vacation days, 'but it takes time'

“You are right,” he wrote to parents, “We just got back to school and already have a vacation. We have to adjust the number of vacation days to the days of employment, but it takes time.”
Piron explained that a solution to the issue needs to come from understanding and agreements with the teachers, whose rights should not be compromised by such changes.
“This is not only a minister’s decision,” he added, “This is a negotiation with a large number of participating factors”
