Plesner c'tee slams haredi rep for quitting

The Plesner committee on Sunday condemned attorney Yaakov Weinroth, the Haredi representative on the committee, for quitting.
"Apparently attorney Weinroth, who was a member of the original Tal Committee, thought he would succeed in turning the Plesner Committee into a Committee that would legislate a 'second Tal Law,'" the group wrote in a statement.
When it became clear to him that the committee intended to make serious changes, the statement continued, he acted to delegitimize it.
The committee vowed to release its conclusions in the coming days.
